En concreto, el 12 de agosto, hacía coincidir su presencia en Minneapolis para actuar en el US Bank Stadium acercándose a la tienda Lego más cercana dejando atónitos a los compradores del centro comercial Mall of America.
En lo musical, todo fue un éxito: "¡Minneapolis! Otro espectáculo mágico de resta, LEGO pop up, y luego rompiendo el récord de asistencia en el estadio con 72.000 entradas. Lo pasamos de maravilla. En esta ocasión, Ed Sheeran se acercaba a un centro comercial para la sorpresa de todo el mundo. Además de atender a los clientes dentro de la tienda, también mostró su talento fuera de la tienda con su guitarra para una actuación ante los que visitaban el Mall of America.

Recordemos que, de forma habitual, el británico aparece en diferentes lugares de las ciudades donde actúa para sorprender al público. Por ejemplo, Ed Sheeran el 2 de julio publicaba un vídeo en su cuenta de Instagram mostrando esa actuación improvisada y la visita al escenario del Tobin Community Center en el vecindario Mission Hill de Boston con los chavales del "Boston Music Project".
Los niños practicaron 'Eyes Closed' para poder tocar con Ed que aprovechó para contar: "Solía tocar el violonchelo cuando era niño, esto me recuerda las cosas que solía tocar".
